A new Rotary year begins — the gavel has passed, and so has the call to Unite for Good.

Rotary Year in Review: 2024–2025

Rotary Club of Fayetteville

Under the leadership of President Shawn Elzie, our club focused on service, growth, and connection. Here are this year’s highlights:

  • Senior Citizen Prom planning is underway — sponsors still needed!

  • Partnered with the Friends of the Fayette County Public Library for service and events.

  •  Volunteered at Midwest Food Bank to fight food insecurity.

  • Sponsored four students to attend RYLA: Kai & Zoe Kinard (The Forest School), Gabrielle Johnson (Sandy Creek), and Samira Eldawi (Whitewater).

  • Grew our public image through social media, storytelling, and outreach.

  • Welcomed new members: Benardo SellersDominique Downing, and Laura Weishaar.

Added new officer roles to expand engagement and leadership.

As we pass the gavel to incoming President Vickie Butler, we embrace the 2025–2026 Rotary theme: "Unite for Good", guided by District Governor Steve Ivory and the Rotary Action Plan.
